However, gear will not gain new stats, abilities, or features. Upgrading can improve base damage, armor, and stat improvements. Because sundries are both limited and expensive, improving gear should only be done every few levels, say 3-5 levels depending on rarity. A successful upgrade will bring the weapon or armor to your current character level, but also increase the required stat value for equipping.
Note that if the sundries are stacked you may need to split them into individual pieces to avoid any crafting errors. With the required items, combine them together in the crafting screen.
